Hi, I'm Niko — a creativity-fueled UX designer with a passport full of stamps and a mind full of ideas.
Past
Present
Currently based in China, I teach English by day and design intuitive digital experiences by night (and sometimes vice versa). I’m a freelance UX designer with a background in video production from my time as a junior producer in South Africa — storytelling is second nature to me, and it shows up in every wireframe and user journey I create.
Hustle
When I’m not designing or teaching, you’ll probably find me nose-deep in a book, adventuring in a video game, or on the move exploring somewhere new. I’m passionate about creativity in all its forms — from art and writing to video and design.
I obtained a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Media and Communication, and I recently completed Google’s UX Design Professional Certificate where I honed my skills in user research, prototyping, and creating designs that are not just beautiful but purposeful.
